As written previously on this site, the entire idea of leasing the Iowa Lottery is ridiculous during this time of budget shortfalls. The governor figured this out and now his allies in the capitol are picking up the mantle of gambling interests and moving forward the “leasing” scheme.

The legislature needs to act like responsible adults, not drug addicts addicted to spending so much they are willing to give up an income stream.
